girlbaby

i am a dismal girlbaby. i sit on cement in the evening. i whistle at the cherry of my cigarette because i know it as a girlbaby too. i am one with the undertows of the river. i eat venison with a spork because it is half useless. i watch the water snail, King of the Tank, make his brilliant dive from the wall to the floor. there he names me Queen of the Tank. Kitty meows at me and i am good because i know what she said. i braid piscis’ spines. i sniff the change purse for bad pennies. i box and cox with the dust bunnies between our stately befores. i bury the hatchet beneath my pillow and am comfortable with that. how yummy yummy the dirt i was made from. i have a hundred bunches of sweet lavender in my ribs. i know how to peel off scabs. i know how to make clay of them. then i am a loaming girlbaby.
